Perfectly balanced and beautifully minimalist. Ogy speakers are designed to bring out the finest details in your music collection.

OGY

OGY presents very natural and detailed sound with 3D soundstage. Optimal for smaller rooms, however when carefully placed in a bigger room it can create an extremely pleasant space for intimate music experience.

Perfect for all kind of music where the natural instruments are used Classical or Jazz as it is able to convey a true sound.

Why Single Driver

OGY employs an outstanding full-range driver — the EMS LB5 (10 cm), designed by the French legend Michel Fertin, who dedicated his life to mastering the art of wide-band single-driver sound. Each unit is handcrafted in France by Katy Fertin / EMS Speaker, carrying forward decades of acoustic refinement. The driver’s speed and precision allow for an astonishingly smooth, natural presentation that reveals every subtle nuance of a recording.

This minimalist concept — one driver reproducing the full spectrum — ensures perfect coherence and purity of sound. Without a crossover to interfere, OGY maintains phase integrity and timing accuracy, resulting in a lifelike, emotionally engaging performance that connects the listener directly to the essence of the music.

Form, Function & Impact

The OGY plywood cabinet represents the essence of acoustic harmony and craftsmanship. Made from carefully selected birch plywood, it offers both rigidity and warmth — essential for precise, natural sound reproduction. The cabinet’s internal geometry and damping have been finely tuned to minimize coloration and enhance spatial depth, allowing the EMS LB5 driver to perform at its full potential.

Its minimalist exterior hides countless hours of manual work. Every panel, joint, and curve is shaped to serve the music, not dominate the space. The natural wood veneer adds a sense of warmth and authenticity, making OGY both a true listening instrument and a timeless piece of design.

Crafted for True Listening

Why choose a single driver? The answer is simple: sound coherence. Unlike multi-driver speakers, which divide the audio spectrum and then attempt to reassemble it with crossovers, a single driver preserves phase integrity and consistency across all frequencies. The result is a more lifelike and natural sound.

A single point source ensures precise sound imaging. When music is recorded, there's only one microphone capturing all frequencies — ideally, the playback should mimic this with a single transducer. Multi-driver systems can blur spatial cues, but a good full-range speaker disappears into the room, leaving only the music.

Customer Testimonials

The Ogy loudspeakers are a warm asset are for every Cozy musical interior!

Recently, loudspeaker and tube amplifier manufacturer Closer Acoustics from Poland gave me the opportunity to test their beautiful hand-built Ogy monitor speakers at my home I listened to the Ogy's extensively, they immediately sounded great on my various amplifiers, such as a Radford tube amplifier, Quad 33/303, Line Magnetic LM211 tube amplifier and a modern Hegel Röst, and even with a cheaper Denon Receiver music sounded delicious on the Ogys. The Closer Acoustics Ogy is handmade in Closer Acoustics own workshop, using a high quality EMS French very musical full-range driver. Closer Acoustics has developed this unique transmission line case to deliver a nice tight Bass through the milled tunnel. The Ogy's give a very pleasant precise bass and the EMS driver is also able to produce a very nice clean Trebble that does not lose any detail. Cymbals, drums, and the smallest details in music make the Ogy's sound lifelike real without sounding sharp. You really don't miss anything in your favorite music albums. What also struck me immediately is that the Ogy's sound equally good in the room and position, without bothering about difficult room acoustics without too much experimentation. The Ogy's are true music lovers loudspeakers for people who listen to music very purely at a nice volume, or want to enjoy it at low volume late at night without missing anything in the music. The Ogy's also match perfect with tube-amplifiers. They have an efficiency/sensitivity of 91db, so with a few Watts they perform already great and show the full range of the music, and given the specified 25 Watts, you do not have to worry about control, you really cannot come short on those 25 Watts in youre room. The Middrange of the Ogy's, voices, percussion, wooden instruments sound lifelike, I sometimes had moments when I thought that a singer or certain instruments were really present in my room, that says something about the lifelike musicality of these loudspeakers. Ogy loudspeakers are built by real music lovers with a lot of listening experience and therefore my conclusion is that the Ogy loudspeakers are a warm asset are for every Cozy musical interior!

Fantastic!

I've had the Ogy + Bob for a few months now... and I'm not afraid to say they deliver something exceptional; they define not only instruments and vocals at a very high level, but above all, the space and time between the instruments and our ears—the air, the space, the time it takes for sound to reach them—all of this becomes a wonderful glue that gives a feeling of being closer. They play with my EAR Yoshino 834, Icon Audio 25, and ATC Sia 150.

Awesome

The Ogys are no F‘OGYS’ 😊. [Fogy: a stodgy, old fashioned, or excessively conservative person, esp. one who is intellectually dull] Firstly a huge thank you to everyone at Closer Acoustics, especially Jacek and Katarzyna – you have been a pleasure to work with! It is said that when you make a phone call, you should smile so that the person at the other end can hear the smile in your voice 😊. This was true in every email exchange with Katarzyna. The Ogys arrived last week packed in pristine order – no effort was spared nor was any detail overlooked. After setting the Ogys up on locally made hardwood stools about 4’ from the rear wall and about 6’ separation and around 5’ from my listening position (making almost an isosceles triangle). I played some classic FM radio through my Cayin KT88 valve amp. First impressions were those of awe, not least because of the expansive sound staging, the resolution of detail and sonic gravitas (disappearance of the speakers)! I agree with every reviewer before me in terms of their experience with the Ogys’ capabilities, so I am not going to attempt to define sound in terms words, because words are a ‘child of reason’ as the legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans has said, and this is something one has to experience to be felt 😊. Having had the weekend to put them through their paces, I can only say this: they are a labour of love and a testament to the mellifluous character of full range, cross over less, transmission line design. I found them to be very revealing, open, fast, neutral and above all engaging – they deliver sound you can see and feel in a compact footprint. I perceived a wide soundstage slightly behind the speakers. Here I must make a caveat – they don’t add or take anything away from the music that is played through them. So, if you play well recorded music, you are in audio nirvana and the converse is also equally true 😉 ceteris paribus (i.e., all things remaining equal). That is true high fidelity or faithful reproduction of the source material. One must desist from the tendency to compare and listen to these Ogys without any preconceived notion or expectation. A simple anal’OGY’ - With regard to the concept of comparison, not all 5 fingers are equal in length and with regard to the concept of expectation, well, without sounding philosophical, life is a journey from expectation to acceptance 😊. But, here’s the catch – to have no expectation is also an expectation 😉. Th Ogys exceeded my expectations and a bit more! So, the million dollar question about the lack of bass – this depends on one’s definition of bass and the music that one listens to. Fortunately, I listen extensively to Indian classical music, both vocal and instrumental. I listen to jazz too. And, I played some really well recorded and professionally made music – I could not find a flaw in the reproduction. The Ogys are musical, and not fatiguing at all. Purported to reach lower registers of 40Hz, the much talked about bass was tight and fast in my opinion. Try this track for the tight, taut and fast bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6m5YqGyk9Q&list=RDt6m5YqGyk9Q&start_radio=1 I played recordings on LPs, CDs, Reel to Reel and even streamed some music and the results were the same – clean, crisp, pure, smooth and unsullied sound. I can only say that the Ogys made their presence felt through their absence without sounding cliched or repetitive. Finally, staying on the expectation bandwagon – one can’t drive a Ferrari in traffic and on the other hand, one can’t drive a family car in a Grand Prix – each to their own 😊. Not knowing what I was getting into, and based purely on reviews and one phone conversation with Jacek, I took the plunge and I don’t regret it at all. So, what do you get for under $5000/- in the single driver, cross over less, transmission line design bookshelf loudspeaker market? Answer: The Ogy, without an apol’OGY’!

FAQs

Discover answers to the most common questions about product.

How long does it take to build and deliver a pair of OGY?

Each pair is built by hand in our workshop in Poland. The process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on the selected finish and current production schedule.

Can I customize the finish?

Yes. You can choose from several wood veneer options and custom finishes. Each pair is handcrafted to order, allowing us to match your OGY speakers to your interior design or system aesthetics.

How large a room is suitable for OGY?

OGY performs best in small to medium-sized rooms (up to around 25–30 m²). Thanks to its open, direct character, it can create a wide and engaging soundstage even in compact spaces.

Is OGY suitable for all types of music?

OGY truly shines with acoustic, jazz, vocal, and classical music, where its clarity, speed, and tonal balance reveal every nuance of the performance. It is not designed for heavy rock or high-energy electronic music, as its full-range single driver focuses on naturalness rather than power or deep bass extension.
