OGY
The OGY is Closer Acoustics’ first bookshelf speaker – a compact Polish monitor built around a single hand-made French EMS LB5 full-range driver (10 cm) in a 6-litre transmission-line cabinet, with no crossover at all. Tiny dimensions (31 × 13 × 31 cm), 91 dB sensitivity and a claimed 40 Hz–18 kHz bandwidth.
OGY
The energy arising from the combination of various instruments and vocals is rich and well-balanced, creating a spacious and complete soundscape before the listener's eyes. Not only is the sound presence strong, but the details are fully rendered — it’s hard to believe it comes from the compact Closer Acoustics OGY.
BLOCKS
High Fidelity awarded Blocks with the Red Fingerprint – a distinction reserved for truly exceptional audio gear.
BLOCKS
The new OKHO is magical and truly sounds sublime with the human voice and just about everything else. Also, the treble from this is beautiful and different. A more relaxed presentation vs OGY with more warmth and soul yet there are still details and a 3D soundstage. This speaker system is the definition of ORGANIC when it comes to music reproduction.
OGY
For those willing to sit in front of them and truly listen, provided they are placed in an appropriately sized room (our test was done in a space of about 15 m²), the reward is an extremely natural sound.
OGY
The guiding idea behind Closer Acoustics’ portfolio is the reproduction of the full frequency spectrum (or, in practice, as much of it as physically possible) using a single full-range driver.
OGY
Listening of a different kind — that’s perhaps the best way to describe the Closer Acoustics OGY with its Open Baffle Bass. These full-range loudspeakers play with an impressively open and free character, offering a very natural and realistic tonal presentation. Their almost holographic imaging makes you feel as if you’re sitting right in the middle of the concert, tempting you to reach out and touch the sound itself.
BLOCKS
Not much else I can say. I am in love and these are up there with the finest audio instruments I have heard or experienced. Yes, I call them instruments and I only do that when a speaker is extra special, as these are. This is why I have to add them as a reference for my room. I can’t get enough of them.

Are Single Drivers Better or Worse Than Multi-diver designs? Some swear that Single Drivers Speakers are the Best Audiophile Speakers for home audio. Lets try it out and see what they mean!

FORLANE are the smallest floor-standing speakers from Closer Acoustics. Yet they seem very important to the company, as they were used to create the logo for the brand’s 10th anniversary. Alongside Ogy, they are also the most balanced and instantly engaging-sounding designs from Closer Acoustics. A beautiful celebration of ten years of excellence.

Do I recommend the CLOSER PROVOCATEUR AND FORLANE duo? Yes I do, but that comes with a couple of caveats: They are an excellent loudspeaker but they are not what most people will be familiar with. However, can I suggest that if you love music and want to get yourself closer to the artist in an emotional and real sense then you should try and get yourself in front of these! In essence, they are not going to be all things to all people.
OGY
Today I talk about the OGY Speakers from Closer Acoustics in Poland. These are tiny hand made gems with a single coaxial 4" driver that delivers pin point imaging and purity of vocals and instruments. These do not go super low in the bass but that is not what these speakers excel at nor is it why they are so special. The OGY's forte is delivering an intimate performance that is scary real. It's like the VR of Audio.

Vinyl Specialist Specialists are not cheap. And they usually do only one thing – but they do it perfectly. This is exactly the case with a phono preamplifier that “makes vinyl lovers happy.” And perhaps even brings them into the “flow.” Because that’s precisely what the name Flō from Closer Acoustics means.

A fine spirit from Poland — Closer Acoustics Provocateur Signature Edition In its May 2023 issue, LP Magazin praised the Closer Acoustics Provocateur Signature Edition as a masterpiece of craftsmanship and sonic refinement. Wrapped in soft Alcantara and glowing with Psvane 300B tubes, this single-ended amplifier combines Polish precision with pure musical emotion. Reviewer Holger Barske called it “a true connoisseur’s amp — refined, spacious, and full of color.” When paired with efficient speakers, the Provocateur delivers a breathtaking blend of transparency, depth, and delicacy — proof that high-end passion knows no borders.
OGY
KEF LS50 Meta Speakers is one of the BEST home audiophile speaker world but there is another speaker that I found as an upgrade with similar advantages.
OGY
Closer Acoustics OGY are unique speakers in more than one way. They are tiny, and in my opinion look lovely, hence they will fit into any room, although they will be the best match for smaller rooms (mine is 24 sqm and it was fine, a smaller room would be even better). Small rooms can be tricky in terms of acoustics, and OGY may help you solve some issues that are unavoidable with larger speakers.

hi-fi+ Editor Alan Sircom reviews the Closer Acoustics Ogy, whose sound imaging and design is likely to put a smile on your face.
OGY
Closer Acoustics might not be a name familiar to many readers, but the Polish brand makes a fine range of high-efficency loudspeakers and low-power valve electronics to match their performance. The OGY is the newest and smallest of those speakers and the first stand-mount from the brand.
OGY
The Closer Acoustic OGY loudspeakers are a small single-driver design that uses no crossover but do employ a transmission-line loading for the minuscule 4″ driver. They cost €1766 as tested. Stuart Smith takes a listen for HiFi Pig.

OGY LOUDSPEAKERS BY CLOSER ACOUSTICS belong to a group of products that are built and intended for people dissatisfied with modern technologies used for sound reproduction.

There is a group of devoted fans of loudspeaker designs featuring a single, full-range driver, yours truly included. The Closer Acoustics brand, already known to our Readers, not only offers several designs of this type, but in case of two of them, one can choose between a version with a “standard” (nothing ordinary about it really) driver and a one with an electromagnet, or a so-called field coil. For this review the manufacturer delivered the second model from the top, Allegra EX, and the EX designation marks use of „Excitation” drivers (as the French call field coils).

Closer Acoustics, a small yet distinctive brand, introduces the impressive Vigo series in Classic and EX versions. The Vigo Classic offers a rich, engaging sound that immediately feels natural and comfortable, while the EX adds refined dynamics and spaciousness. Both models demonstrate the brand’s dedication to precise craftsmanship and a compelling listening experience.

My recent experience with the excellent integrated 300B SET amplifier called Provocateur encouraged me to continue an adventure with products of this Polish boutique manufacturer. The second one, also developed by Robert Rolof and the Grodecki brothers team, that arrived for assessment is the Closer Acoustics Flō MM/MC phono preamplifier. This time, no tubes on board, yet the magic, as it turns out, is still there …

A provocative name, original, elegant looks, top level make and finish – these are all advantages of the Closer Acoustics Provocateur Signature integrated SET amplifier featuring the magical 300B tubes. It seems a real deal provided, of course, that its performance matches its looks. Let’s find out.

In the realm of high‑end loudspeakers, Closer Acoustics once again demonstrates its commitment to elegance and precision. The FLÕ model stands out as a statement piece: it combines sculptural design with a sound character that is both refined and emotionally engaging. From the subtle textures in the mid‑range to the extended depth of its low end, the FLÕ invites listeners into a world where performance and aesthetics merge seamlessly. This is not just a loudspeaker—it’s an experience crafted for those who live within the music.

It all depends on what WE need and what WE are looking for. The Closer Acoustics system gives us an alternative to the current consensus look at how music should sound like. This sort of presentation is not for everyone. To appreciate what it offers, you need experience, both in terms of live and reproduced sound of music. These are two different experiences, but only combining them gives us knowledge of what we really want.

You have to be some sort of audio freak to create speakers like Eva. Usually they build first pair for themselves, than for their family and friends and finally, providing all goes well, they start to build them for other people. Other audio freaks I mean. These are high-efficiency speakers, so can be driver even by some low-power amplifier, but that convinces mostly a very particular group of audiophile – class A, SET amplifiers lovers
